Folly Cove Designers to be Featured on Motif No. 1 Day!

The Sarah Elizabeth Shop in Rockport was founded by one of the Folly Cove Designers, Sarah Elizabeth Halloran. When she passed away Isabel Natti took over the stewardship of the big acorn press and continued to sell her designs block printed on placemats, cards and more as well as a few of Sarah Elizabeth's designs. With Isabel's passing last year, people were worried that the long run of block printing to emerge from the shop had come to an end. So it's exciting to learn that Julia Garrison of Lanesville is the new proprietor of the shop! Julia is a block printer as well, so not only will she keep the shop open, she'll bring her own designs into the mix, keeping a longstanding tradition of beautiful block prints alive and well in Rockport.

Motif No. 1 Day will give you the chance to meet Julia, who is bringing some of her work and the work of the other designers of the Sarah Elizabeth Shop downtown. You will also have the chance to meet Christine Lundberg, the producer of the film Virginia Lee Burton: A Sense of Place, which features the amazing talent of the illustrator and Folly Cove Designers founder. Folly Cove Designers Feature in the Old Firehouse Trust.
