Live Music and Opera and Art, Oh My!

Have you seen the schedule for the weekend of HarvestFest? Not only is the festival itself packed with things to do, the entire town of Rockport will be humming with events from Friday, October 14th right through Sunday the 16th. A small sampling of the options this weekend:

• The Honey Dewdrops, an award-winning national folk act out of Charlottesville, Virginia will be bringing a little bit of the Blue Ridge mountains to New England in their show at the Old Sloop Coffeehouse on Friday, October 14th at 7:30.

• Greg Hawkes (of The Cars fame) will be playing with latest project, the Greg Hawkes Ukulele Trio at Windemere Art & Antiques at 20 Main Street on Saturday, October 15th from 1 to 3pm. This will be a great opportunity to catch some virtuoso ukulele playing, which seems to be all the rage these days.
