Rockport Art News

A New Show is Up...
The Rockport Art Association is celebrating its 90th birthday all season long, kicking off the festivities with a new show called Outside In, featuring the work of Gordon Goetemann, Ruth Mordecai and Jon Sarkin. The show is unusual for the RAA, composed entirely of contemporary work. Among many strong pieces on exhibit, the highlight is the installation of Jon Sarkin's works on paper, which involved building rounded walls in the center of the gallery (designed by Treetop Designs). Don't miss this unique show this summer, through July 19th.

And in Other Art News...
Eugene J. Quinn has opened a gallery on Bearskin Neck (in the former J. Demeri gallery) - be sure to stop in and enjoy his impressionistic work in person. He paints in the tradition of the best of our plein air painters, capturing the luminous quality so reminiscent of Cape Ann.
