Face-painting as Art? Yes Indeed!

Join us on Motif No. 1 Day from 1 to 4 at the Kids' Art Zone as artist Kristine Karvelas sets up her face-painting booth. This is not your typical face-painting, as Kristine employs an air-brushing technique that allows her to create pattern and design that go far beyond the usual rainbow or flower (although she'll be happy to paint a rainbow or flower for you too, of course). This is sure to be a popular event, so be sure to plan to come down to the Kids' Art Zone in Harvey Park and check it out for yourself.

And while you're waiting to get your face painted you can join in the rest of the Kids' Art Zone activities! For more photos of Kristine's work, check out this blog post from The Paper Mermaid (who hosted last year's face-painting. And by the way... look for news about a Puppet Show hosted by The Paper Mermaid at this year's Motif No. 1 Day festival!)
