First on our calendar? Motif No.1 Day, slated for May 22nd. This year more than ever we are centering our activities and events on the Arts in honor of Rockport's heritage. We are bringing back last year's very popular Try Your Hand Art Event, where festival-goers were encouraged to draw Rockport's famous red fishing shack from their own perspective, whatever their ability. Easels with the necessary art supplies were placed throughout town at several vantage points facing Motif No.1 and artists-for-the-day could take their creations home or leave them on the easel to inspire the rest of us.
